ReThink Recruitment opens office in Leeds
ReThink Recruitment, the IT staffing company, has opened a new office in Leeds in order to meet the demands of its clients in Yorkshire and the Humber.
Says Andy Lord, Director at ReThink’s Manchester office: “We have been successfully working with clients in the Yorkshire area for years, so we decided this was the right time to more firmly establish our company in the region.”
“The Leeds office opening is part of our strategy for further expansion, following our successful flotation on AIM this past June.”
“Our aim is to enable better contact with our clients, and also to make interviewing easier.”
The Leeds office will specialise in recruitment of permanent and contract staff for high-tech software houses, which is a sector that is particularly strong in this region, according to Andy Lord.
Says Andy Lord: “Our Leeds office will be primarily dealing with the recruitment needs of specialist digital media agencies, as well as staffing in-house media and web design teams. We will also help our clients recruit senior level staff such as project and programme managers.”
One of the major clients in the region is Ioko, a major on-demand digital streaming agency. ReThink’s Leeds office will also work for companies that create third party applications for the banking and finance industry, and companies that create applications for retail clients, such as warehouse management and distribution systems.
Explains Andy Lord: “Leeds has an abundance of java and .net specialists, which are skills in very high demand by our clients.”
A further motivating factor behind the establishment of the Leeds office is the local recruiting talent: Says Andy Lord: “We are constantly approached by highly qualified recruitment consultants that want to work for our company. However, it has been difficult for us to accommodate them, as commuting from the other side of the Pennines is not really a viable option. We believe that by opening an office in Leeds we will take advantage of this pool of skilled professionals to better serve our clients.”
Six consultants have already been recruited for the Leeds office, which will be jointly run by Ian Simpson and Michelle Sutton. Ian is one of ReThink’s founding members and has travelled extensively in Yorkshire throughout the years working for companies based in the area.
